2 day Seminar on “Community Policing” commences at SKPA Udhampur

 

UDHAMPUR : A two day Seminar on “community Policing” commenced today at Sher-I- Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur in which 21 officers from different organisations of J&K Police participated.

At the inaugural function, Dr. Vinod Kumar, SSP Udhampur was the Chief Guest.

At the outset, Mohan Lal, SSP Dy. Director (Indoor/Trg) welcomed the Chief Guest on behalf of Director SKPA Udhampur.

While speaking on the occasion, Dr. Vinod Kumar reiterated that Police have been assigned the responsibilities of the maintenance of law and order, enforcement of fundamental rights, prevention and detection of crime and to safe guard the life and property of the people. He laid emphasis on the discharge of assigned duties with utmost dedication and professionalism. “The first and foremost duty of a police officer is to serve the society and country in a better possible manner while remaining continuously in contact with the public, so it is the primary duty of police organisation to work for the betterment of community” he said.

The course is being coordinated by Sunmati Gupta, AD(Q) and Tarseem Lal, Inspr. SKPA Udhampur.
