2-Days Media sensitization programme on CAB, SOPs by DIC Ganderbalculminates

Ganderbal: The two-day Covid Appropriate Behavior and Standard Operational Procedure (CAB & SOP) sensitization program for media persons, organized by the District Information Centre (DIC) Ganderbal, culminated at Town Hall here today.

On the second and final day of the program, media persons interacted and deliberated upon the activities and safety measures adopted regarding the global pandemic Covid-19

The program was organized as a part of the series of activities being carried out by the DIC Ganderbal in connection with the IEC campaign.

Aiming at sensitization of media persons of the district, this program on CAB received an overwhelming response from the media fraternity.

Earlier on the previous day, the participants were made aware about CAB and other basic SOPs like social distancing, hand washing, wearing face masks etc. whereas today the media persons were made to deliberate on the Covid-19 related knowledge based on their on-field experiences.

District Information Officer Ganderbal, appreciated the role of media in dissemination of information regarding CAB and other basic precautions with regard to Covid. He also sought due support and association of the media fraternity in sensitizing the general public to mitigate the possible third wave of Covid-19.

The program saw good participation of the media personnel associated with Ganderbal Media Guild and Press Club Ganderbal.

Senior Journalist Sabir Ayoub, Shah Aijaz Ahmad, Sofi Ayaz and Sabiq Ali also spoke and shared their valuable knowledge and experiences regarding Covid-19. The participants were also briefed about the benefits of Covid vaccination and the available vaccines in the Indian market as approved by the government.

Executive Officer, Municipal Council Ganderbal, DIO Ganderbal and officials of DIC Ganderbal were also present on the occasion.
