2024 EducationUSA University Fairs Kick Off in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The U.S. Embassy and Consulates in India officially launched the 2024 EducationUSA University Fair series today at the Hotel ITC Kohenur, Hyderabad.  The fair, marking the beginning of an eight-city tour across India, connects students with opportunities to study at more than 80 accredited U.S. universities and colleges.
Starting today in Hyderabad and running through August 25, 2024, this annual series of University Fairs will visit Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Pune, Mumbai, and conclude in New Delhi.  The Hyderabad fair drew a large and diverse group of students seeking information about undergraduate, post-graduate, and doctoral programs in the United States.
Public Affairs Officer Alexander McLaren of the U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad expressed excitement at the number of people visiting the fair, saying that: “The United States is proud to be the destination of choice for Indian students seeking a world-class education.  It is especially appropriate to kick off this annual event in Hyderabad, as so many of the Indian students studying in the United States come from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.”

Attendees at the fair engaged directly with representatives from U.S. institutions, learned about admissions, scholarships, and campus life, and received guidance from EducationUSA advisers and U.S. Consulate officials on the student visa application process.  “The mission of EducationUSA is always to help the millions of students it works with to realize their dreams of a safe and successful experience studying in the United States,” Mr. McLaren stated.

EducationUSA’s mission is to provide accurate, comprehensive, current, and free information to students and parents on studying in the United States, including popular and emerging fields of study, campus safety initiatives, Optional Practical Training (OPT) and other research opportunities for international students.  The fair series aims to support students in making informed choices about their higher education options and understand the opportunities and challenges of studying abroad.
