23 Geology students crack GATE

ALIGARH  : Twenty-three (23) students of the Department of Geology, Aligarh Muslim University have qualified the prestigious Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).

According to Prof Kunwar Faraheem Khan, Chairman of the department, among the selected students, three students have secured top ranks, including AIR 5, AIR 26 and AIR 96. The selected students are Moin Khan (5), Mohammad Rashid (26), Razuddin (96), Mohd Kokab (133), Ehtasham Rahi (181), Hadiyah (237), Rohit Gupta (277), Fahad Alam (378), Isma Masoom (406), Prashant Chaudhary (472), Mo Javed (507), Shoaib Khan (507), Shadab Hussain (559), Zaufishan Zehra (620), Monis Malik (754), Ghulam Rabbani (754), Mohammad Saqib Ansari (784), Sharjeel Iqbal (874), Mohd Aun (971), Nehal Khan (1027), Mohammad Ali Khan (1060), Farhan Ali (1062) and Dharmendra Kumar (1600).

In yet another success story, Mr. Shahrear Alam, a research scholar has qualified the State Eligibility Test (SET) conducted by the West Bengal College Service Commission, Government of West Bengal.

He congratulated the selected students on their success and termed it a testimony of their hard work, dedication and guidance offered by the faculty members.
