28 AMU students and alumni get Sir Syed Global Scholar Award
ALIGARH : Twenty-eight students and alumni of the Aligarh Muslim University have been selected for the Sir Syed Global Scholar Award (SSGSA), for the academic session 2024-25, by a US-based non-profit organization, Sir Syed Education Society of North America.
Dr Sajad Sheikh and Mr Sachin Gupta, past beneficiaries and current co-chairs of the SSGSA programme informed that these students have been selected after an exhaustive selection process, including academic performance, research or work experience, internship, curricular and extracurricular activities by 13 assessment panels.
Dr Sheikh and Mr Gupta have thanked the university administration for their cooperation and support in carrying out the selection process.
The recipients of the SSGSA scholarship will receive financial support and personalized mentorship through the application process for higher education abroad. They will also receive assistance for required standardized tests such as GRE/GMAT and TOEFL/IELTS, along with the application fees for up to five universities of their choice, they added.
