3-day online orientation cum training workshop regarding DIKSHA concludes

Jammu: The three day online orientation cum training workshop organised by Directorate of School Education Jammu through its IT cell regarding understanding and usage of DIKSHA concluded here today.
Pertinently, DIKSHA is a digital portal providing quality e-content for both students and teachers and is one of the main initiatives of the program “Enhancing Technology and Quality of Education” under Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan recently launched by Prime Minister of India.
DSEJ in collaboration with Jnana Prabhodini, a Maharashtra based organisation which is official partner of MHRD in its initiative of DIKSHA and e-Vidydaan, successfully conducted the 3 day orientation programme.
The programme, started on 15th June 2020, was aimed at to develop necessary skills among the participants for usage and understanding DIKSHA platform.
Speaking on the occasion, Director School Education Jammu Anuradha Gupta, said that use of digital initiatives and platforms is the need of the hour and to get equipped with these initiatives shall certainly empower our teachers in handling the challenges better. She also said that the IT cell established at Directorate would continue its endeavors in promoting the digital initiatives of Ministry of HRD like DIKSHA, e-vidya daan, PM e-vidya, etc.
The main highlights of the workshop were introduction about DIKSHA (a digital platform for teachers) techniques used for making e content like Blended learning, simulation and science activities on physics and chemistry through simulations by key resource persons from Jnana Prabhodini , Arnab, Neerja Deshpandey, Pallavi, Professor Ravinder Godbole and Professor Abhaya Tol.
Mahwah Goni, State Nodal incharge DIKSHA, presented a presentation before the participants apprising them about the scope and content creation on DIKSHA and e vidyadan. She also apprised about the work done so far in collaboration with JKBOSE. The content for Mathematics and Science which has been mapped from NCERT digital Content repository can be accessed via QR Codes placed on JKBOSE Textbooks.
Various participants spoke on the valedictory function including Pawan Vivek, DRG kathua, Mehboob Ahmed Qazi DRG kishtwar, Nazir Ahmed Itoo, DRG Ramban and Mohd Anwar, Principal HSS Sujwana. They hailed the efforts of resource persons from Jnana Prabhodini and appreciated Director DSEJ for providing such online platform during this critical phase of COVID-19.
Sandeep Rathore, DRG/DNO Kishtwar, who was also the Technical Coordinator for the workshop, presented vote of thanks.
The programme was coordinated by Sohail Wani Member, IT Cell DSEJ, who has also been nominated as the nodal officer for further collaboration with Janan Prabodhini.
