3-day workshop on Poshan Abhiyan begins at Ghagwal

Samba: A 3 day workshop on POSHAN Abhiyaan – Its need, importance and community mobilization organised by ICDS Project Ghagwal began here today.
The programme was inaugurated by Sub Divisional Magistrate, Ghagwal Ramkesh Sharma.
On the inaugural day, the participants including Sarpanchs, women Panchs and Anganwari workers were given a comprehensive background of Poshan Abhiyaan, Convergence of departments and various platforms through which this Jan Abhiyaan has to be materialized at grassroots.
People’s participation in the Jan Andolan was reiterated under community participation wherein Behavioural change communication approach has to be adopted to capitalizes on opportunities for change and address the obstacles.
Over 100 stakeholders including Sarpnaches, Panches and AWWs will attend the workshop with the objective to propagate the message of reduction of malnourishment in children, adolescent girls, Pregnant & Lactating mothers.
The programme was attended by Block Development Officer Ghagwal, Monika Sharma, Supervisors of ICDS Project Ghagwal.
