3 Days BLOT for Youth Volunteers, Members of Youth Clubs commences at Verinag

 

ANANTNAG : The Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Anantnag today started three days Block Level Orientation Training (BLOT) of Youth Volunteers and Members of Youth Clubs, as part of youth participation in Investor Education, Awareness and Protection Project in collaboration with Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority Ministry of Corporate Affairs Govt of India at Verinag, here.

The Programme was inaugurated by M Iqbal Ahanger, Chairman Municipal Committee Doru Verinag.

The guests appreciated the programme organized by NYK Anantnag and assured full support in future for organizing other such programmes in the area. They also discussed Social evils, Drug Abuse, TB etc and advised Youth of the area to come forward for self-development which will help to make society more developed.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Director M Khalil Mir said that the objective of the programme is to make aware and educate Youth Leader/Youth Volunteers and members of Youth Clubs on the issues of investor Education, Awareness and Protection.

He said the aim of this programme is also to spread the message of Investor Education, Awareness and Protection to the last mile, with spirit of service besides, to empower Youth to assume lead roles and act as Catalytic agents for educating people to invest their savings in Government financial schemes instead of Ponzi Schemes.

Different Resource persons from LIC, J&K Bank also highlighted the various schemes of the Bank. They also threw light on types of Financial Frauds (Card Fraud, Fund Transfer scams, International Lottery Fraud etc.)
