3 days Sensitization/ Training programme on Covid-19 kick-starts at Kulgam

Kulgam: To sensitize PRI members about their role in mitigation of Covid-19 pandemic, the District Panchayat Office Kulgam today organized a three days sensitization cum training programme within the premises of Mini-Secretariat here.

The programme was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal-Mohi-Ud-Din-Bhat.

During the programme, health experts briefed PRI members about various measures including do’s and don’ts to stop the spread of Coronavirus infection.

On the occasion, the role and responsibilities of these PRI members was also highlighted vis-à-vis sensitizing the general public about the measures to be followed that are pivotal to prevent the spread of the virus. They were also asked to motivate the people above the age of 45 to get vaccinated at nearest vaccination centers.

A Covid-19 vaccination camp was also organized for these members during which several PRI members were administered jabs of Covid-19 vaccine.

Meanwhile, the Sensitization programme shall continue for three days and during the course of time PRI members from all blocks will be sensitized.

Among others, ADDC, Riyaz Ahmad Sofi, ACD/DPO and other officers were present on the occasion besides the programme was attended by scores of PRI members from Behibagh and Kulgam blocks.
