3-month free access to engineering e-learning courseware and e-Labs for students

Mumbai: In a bid to support universities, engineering colleges and the teacher-student fraternity across India in these trying times of the Covid-19 global pandemic, Manipal Group’s Coempt Edu Teck Pvt. Ltd — as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility — brings for students a 3-month free access (beginning April) to engineering e-learning courseware covering over 165 subjects and more than 700 practical e-lab experiments it has developed using such multimedia components as animation, voiceover, text and pictures.

Because of the government-advised lockdown countrywide to battle the Covid-19 scourge, the academic studies and exam preparations of students have been badly affected, causing stress to many of them in these troubled times. Even parents and teachers are feeling extremely stressed out. Day after day passes without classroom lessons or study-related activities and nobody knows for sure when the educational institutes, especially colleges — shut for over a month — will reopen. But this is pre-emptive, preventive and necessary action.

However, time is of the essence for students! Those aspiring to become engineers, especially, have to work really hard against the clock to achieve good results and get industry-ready to grab their dream placements. So, students mostly have to rely on discussions with friends, peers and teachers through social media, which is inadequate, to say the least!

“The use of Coempt’s learning management system helps in the delivery of educational material online, for instance, lecture slides, PPT, PDF tasks and learning activities. And our steps to make our courses available online for free is to support the student and teaching communities at these critical times.,” said Mr. VSN Raju, CEO, Coempt.

Coempt shows the way

Coempt is providing students a 3-month free access to its learning portal, www.EduLib.in, also featured in the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) website.

Interested students can log in through their PCs or laptops using the Internet to access Coempt’s courseware. They can create their unique login IDs by filling in a brief registration form to access this e-learning platform.

This will help reduce the academic load and related stress that students are going through while regular classes are suspended. It will also ensure that students can use this time productively by positively engaging with their studies while preparing for their exams from the comfort of their homes…

The courseware

Coempt’s courseware, covering a majority of the syllabuses that technology universities follow from the 1st Year to the 4th Year, is available for the entire duration of study of all BE/B. Tech. courses — CSE, IT, Mechanical, Civil, EEE and ECE, including common 1st Year subjects.

Till better days come

Coempt also wants institutions, parents and students to spread awareness of this initiative to benefit the vast student community in the country.

Coempt is positive that every one of the teacher-student fraternity will emerge unscathed from this extremely disturbing situation and be able to support the government by staying home and staying safe. To combat Covid-19, there is no other road!
