400 Principals attend symposium with Minister Ashish Shelar at Children welfare Centre High School
Mumbai: A symposium on “New Education policy and changes in educational field” was organised by the Janata Kalyan Kendra and Children Welfare Centre High School, at Yari Road, Andheri (West),Mumbai on 7 August 2019. Minister of Education, Sports & Youth Welfare Ashish Shelar was the chief guest. Education Inspector of West Zone of Greater Mumbai Anil Sable and his colleagues, Children welfare Centre High School’s Principal Ajay Kaul, Former Deputy Mayor Arun Deo and the principals of over 400 schools were present. On the occasion Principal Ajay Kaul felicitated Shelar and other guests.
In the interactive session, the issue of how some of the schools make their students fail in 9th standard to ensure cent per cent result in SSC was discussed. Shelar, Kaul and Sable also interacted and discussed with people about lack of facilities like lights, toilets in some schools, delay in payment of teachers’ salaries and other issues related to the field of education.
On the occasion, Shelar urged people to communicate to him if they have complaints and assured them that he would try to solve their problems. However he asked them to carry out their work with total responsibility and pay attention if any student is weak in studies. Because the teacher’s responsibility is not only to teach but it is cumulative responsibility to ensure that the students understand what has been taught. Nowadays parents find it difficult to fill in admission forms, get exam results, etc since most of these things are being digitized. But they will not face any difficulty from next year onwards since it takes some time to adapt with new system.
The participants thanked Ajay Kaul for organising such an informative program for benefit of parents. Children Welfare Centre High School Activity Chairman Prashant Kashid thanked the principals for attending in such a large number to make the program successful.
