470 bed-capacity created in Poonch; Two 2400 LPM Oxygen plants nearing completion: DM

Poonch: District administration Poonch has created 100 Level 02 and 370 level- 3 beds capacity in the district, while two 2400 LPM capacity Oxygen plants including 2200 LPM in district Hospital and 200 capacity in Mandi Community Health Centre are coming nearing completion,

Against the total beds, 43 are occupied in level-2 and 8 are occupied in level 03 facility. The information was given today by District Magistrate, Inder Jeet here at a press briefing.

He further informed that two District Level and three sub-district level COVID Control Rooms have been set up in the district which are functioning 24/7 to get feedback from the COVID positive patients. The district has a stock of 448 oxygen cylinders, including 190 type D, 218 type B and 40 oxygen concentrators to cater to the medical oxygen supply-demand for the COVID patients, he added.

Giving further details, the DM said that there are 1040 active positive cases including 984 in home isolation, while over 2.00 lakh covid tests have been conducted in the district and 485 COVID patients have been provided COVID Kits.

Regarding vaccination, he said as many as 92939 persons have been administered vaccination doses. “The positivity rate in the district is 1.90 per cent. Over 260 COVID positive cases were detected in the house to house mopping survey and the process for bringing them in level 03 has been initiated,” he added.

Regarding enforcement of guidelines and SoPs, he said adequate measures are being taken to break the chain of transmission.

He appealed to the People not to panic or pay heed to rumours and keep following the restrictions and SOPs/guidelines issued by the Administration for breaking the chain.
