4th edition of LSEF-UMass to provide Rs 20 lakh scholarship each to 15 students
New Delhi: When the chances of studying abroad looks a little dim in the times of coronavirus pandemic, Lakshmipat Singhania Education Foundation’s (LSEF) and University of Massachusetts-Amherst (UMass) have once again come up with the much-awaited LSEF-UMass Scholarship 2022. This time LSEF-UMass is providing scholarship of Rs 20 lakh each to 15 students for MS (Data Analytics and Computational Social Science), MS (Applied Economics), and Master of Public Policy programs from UMass Amherst, a top-tier public university in the US. 8
Students in this program undertake two years of post-graduate studies, with the first year at the host institution in India- JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur and the second year at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, leading to dual degrees. The prestigious LSEF-UMass Scholarships were first offered in 2018 by Lakshmipat Singhania Education Foundation (LSEF) and University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMass).
The applicants need to be Indian citizens, who have completed (or will complete before July 2022) a minimum of three years of undergraduate (bachelor) degree in any discipline from an accredited institution or University in India, are eligible to apply. The applicant should also need to have studied Mathematics as a subject up to a minimum of 12th grade or equivalent and also have secured a minimum of 75 percent marks in their Undergraduate degree, 12th and 10th grades (or equivalent).

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an aptitude assessment and personal interview with the selection committee comprising of LSEF and UMass-Amherst representatives.
