50+ MoUs & Tech Transfer to mark First iTNT Day on July 11

Chennai : Tamil Nadu Technology Hub (iTNT Hub) established by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY, GoI), and Information Technology and Digital Services Department (IT&DS, GoTN), along with industry support, is celebrating its first iTNT Day in Chennai on July 11. iTNT Hub is building a first-of-its-kind Deep Tech Innovation Network by leveraging the combined strengths of Startups, Innovators, Researchers, Incubators, Academia, Government, and International Partners to propel transformative global innovation.

 

iTNT Day, a showcase of the Deep Tech and Emerging Tech might of the startup ecosystem in Tamil Nadu, is a culmination of the Hub’s year-long efforts and will set the tone for the hallmark initiatives for the year 2024-25. The Hon’ble Minister for IT&DS Dr. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan will deliver the chief guest address and will engage in deliberations with industry leaders, noted academicians, and startup founders at the event.

 

MeitY Secretary Thiru. S. Krishnan, I.A.S., will share his insights on the soon to be launched National Deep Tech Startup Policy to create a conducive ecosystem to foster innovation across sectors in the Deep Tech space. Additional Chief Secretary to Government, IT&DS, Thiru. Dheeraj Kumar, I.A.S., will throw light into the strides taken by the department to strengthen the Emerging and Deep Tech landscape of Tamil Nadu by engaging a cross section of the stakeholders.

 

Chief Executive Officer of iTNT Hub, Tmt. Vanitha Venugopal said that the event will set the tone for the landmark initiatives of the Hub to build the future of Emerging and Deep Tech startups in Tamil Nadu to transform lives through innovation. The iTNT Day will be studded with exchange of over 50 MoUs to collaborate with leading global corporate giants and innovation houses, startup facilitation bodies and leading education institutions to nurture the Emerging and Deep Tech landscape of Tamil Nadu.

 

Tech transfer of patented researches by academicians to corporates and a thought-provoking panel discussion on the “Role of Academia, Startups, Government and Industry in Intellectual Property & Tech Transfer for Deeptech Innovations” are other salient features of the day. The panel discussion will have participation of eminent patent holders, startups, patent and legal authorities, and Government officials. The discussion is aimed at propelling innovations through patented technologies by connecting researchers with startups and corporate houses.

 

Heads of departments from the Union Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (GoI) and Information Technology & Digital Services Department (Tamil Nadu) will also address the invite-only gathering on that occasion.
