6,500 Women Unlock Economic Freedom Through Airblack’s Skilling Programs in the last 1 year

Airblack, India’s fastest growing skilling academy, proudly announces that 6,500 students successfully graduated from its programs during the 2022-23 academic year. Airblack’s commitment to upskilling has helped open a myriad of earning opportunities for women who were previously confined to the margins of the workforce. Ranging from freelance makeup artistry to culinary entrepreneurship, these new avenues have taken root across 600+ cities in India via Airblack’s online learning platform.

Impressively, more than 85% of the academy’s graduates have transitioned to rewarding income opportunities. These individuals include existing professionals who’ve seen their income double, homemakers who’ve discovered economic self-reliance for the first time, and students who’ve started earning while learning. Overall, graduated students have seen their average monthly income go up to Rs. 30,000 a month within 6-8 months of starting their learning journey.

“Our 3-year anniversary brings forth a key impact milestone for us. Today, Airblack’s learn, earn, and grow philosophy has already helped thousands of women across Indian cities develop their passion and earn an independent livelihood,” expressed Videt Jaiswal, Co-Founder & CEO of Airblack.

Airblack’s impact isn’t confined to the digital realm. The academy has also organised free career seminars across 50+ cities, making skilling opportunities accessible to people in every corner of the country. Their impact is felt not only in metros like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad but also in significant Tier 2 cities such as Lucknow, Kanpur, Pune, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Indore, Ahmedabad, Surat, Dehradun, and Agra.

While the demand for such programs significantly surpasses the academy’s current capacity, Airblack remains undeterred. “We received over 10 lakh applications from 530 cities and 5 countries. However, we were only able to enroll a few thousand students. Nevertheless, we offered our workshops for free to over 5 lakh women in India last year. This has given us the confidence to invest significantly in training 1 lakh women in the next 4 years,” said Jaiswal.

In its successful three-year run, Airblack has left an indelible mark on over 35,000 individuals across 300+ cities in India. Its unique “do-it-together” (DIT) live courses help people learn and master skilled techniques, with the help of top industry experts, practitioners, and educators. Looking ahead, Airblack has outlined its plan to expand their course offering and localized skilling capacity, to empower more individuals to upskill themselves and seize new career opportunities.
