7-day workshop on cyber security concludes

 

ALIGARH November 14: A seven-day workshop was organized by the Department of Computer Science, Aligarh Muslim University on “Cyber Security: Pentesting Methodology” to equip participants with practical skills and knowledge through hands-on training how to protect the cyber space from attack, damage, misuse, and economic espionage.

During the workshop, 25 participants attended the workshop, engaging in immersive training sessions focused on penetration testing, a vital aspect of cyber security, and received essential tutorials and challenges to practice and explore this critical field.

Mr. Anas Zakir, an expert in the field of cyber security, served as the resource person. He has an experience of providing cyber security to more than 30 clients and has conducted online sessions on cyber security and digital forensics, and delivered lectures on web application security at various organizations and institutions.

Earlier, welcoming the guests and participants, the Chairman of the department and Convener, Prof. Aasim Zafar emphasized the need for cyber security experts in view of today’s widening digital landscape and underscored the workshop’s role as a cornerstone in meeting this demand.

He also lauded the efforts of Dr. Faisal Anwer, Coordinator, for managing the organization of the workshop.

Dr. Arman Rasool Faridi conducted the valedictory session and extended a warm welcome to the guests.
