75th Independence Day Celebrated at Amity University 

New Delhi:  Celebrating the 75th Independence Day amidst the challenges of COVID-19 pandemic, Amity University Uttar Pradesh (AUUP), Noida joined the Nation in commemorating the glorious occasion at the campus through the virtual medium. During the programme, Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, AUUP hoisted the flag at the campus.

 

Speaking through virtual mode, Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Founder President, AUUP averred that today we are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the independence of the country. The India is also going through tough phase due to this pandemic but it can never diminish the feeling of patriotism rising in our hearts. The presence of students and teachers of Amity in this program shows that we will continue to celebrate Independence Day in honor of our freedom fighters and the army and soldiers of the country. Amity not only inspires the students for research and innovation but also inculcates values ​​​​in them so that they become a good person before becoming a successful person. He inspired the students to always keep their goals high. If any person does not have the feeling of patriotism, then his life is meaningless, we have to bring change in the society and the world together, said Dr Chauhan.

 

Dr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, AUUP said today, thousands of students and teachers from the country and abroad are associated with this program using technology. We are in the field of education, which is the work of human service, so our main objective is to nurture the spirit and values ​​of the students like sanskar, courage, sacrifice etc. so that they become a successful person and contribute in the development of the country.

 

Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, AUUP said students of today are the future of the country, and Amity is committed towards the all-round development of the students. We should always remember that how many people have sacrificed for the attainment of this freedom and made the country free.

 

A vibrant cultural performance was also presented by students of Amity School of Communication with melodious patriotic songs, mesmerizing dance performances and poetry recitations. The flag hoisting ceremony was witnessed by thousands of students online along with their families, faculty members, staff and few AUUP members at the campus following the norms of social distancing.

 

On the eve of the Independence Day, the Cultural Club of Amity University organized an online program “Yaadon Ke Jharokhe Se – Youth Intellectual Celebration” in which cultural programs and experiences were shared by the alumni of Amity University. During the week before 15 August, 2020 Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav was celebrated at Amity
