7th KiiT International School MUN Conference concluded

Bhubaneswar: Seventh KiiT International School Model United Nations (MUN) Conference was concluded successfully on 12th August. The delegates vowed to change for the good of the common people and sustainable development through the effective use of diplomacy and deliberations. Mr Ariel Andrade Galindo, Ambassador of the Republic of El Salvador to India and Mr Sergio Darío Arispe Barrientos, Ambassador of Bolivia to India graced the valedictory of KiiT IS MUN conference. MUN is very important for the students who are the future world. It helps in developing statesmanship and leadership qualities among students, they said. Students can get opportunity to utilize their ideas and innovative in solving various issues of the world.

This year the KiiT International School adjudged as the best School. During last seven years KiiT International School got the best school in MUN for the first time. Student representatives discussed various issues relating to world peace, global warming, human rights, International Court of Justice, etc. They also got opportunity to know the working of various UN agencies. Over 500 student delegates from 50 schools across India were participated the MUN, besides, student delegates from five countries have also joined.

The delegates over three days debated wrote working papers and passed resolutions. The dynamic International Press came out with news letter, covered the Conference and prepared a video on the nitty gritties of the same. Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS congratulated the winners in various categories. Among others Mr. Juan José Cortez Rojas Counsellor, Embassy of Bolivia to India and Mrs. Roxana Lourdes Mercado Nunez, Wife of Mr. Juan José Cortez Rojas were also present. Dr. Mona Lisa Bal, Chairperson, KiiT International School; Dr. Sanjay Suar, Principal and Nandita Mishra Coordinator, MUN were also spoke on the occasion.
