8th International Conference on “Signal Processing and Integrated Networks (SPIN-2021)” held at Amity University, Noida
Noida: Amity School of Engineering and Technology (ASET) organized the 8th International Conference on “Signal Processing and Integrated Networks (SPIN-2021)” at Amity University, Noida Campus. This virtual conference aimed to bring together Scientists, Academicians and Industrialists working in the field of Signal Processing and Integrated Networks to discuss the advancements, new ideas and promote research work. Researchers from all over the country and abroad gathered to introduce their recent advances in the field and thereby promote exchange of new ideas, results, and techniques.
Chief Guest on the occasion, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Science and Technology & Earth Science, Govt of India, while delivering the Valedictory Address said “this is a time to make new resolutions in science and technology. After 100 years of Independence, all roadmaps to progress will be based on Science and Technology. India will be recognized for scientific capabilities all across the Globe. Earlier, we lacked the will at the level of policy planners and inappropriate privatization but now in the last 7 years under the able leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Science and Technology has been promoted and given liberty to revolutionize thereby unlocking even space sector to private players”. He lauded the efforts of Amity’s innovations and called Amity as an institution who thinks ahead of time. Calling ‘SPIN’ as the heart of Signal, Processing in the areas of Intelligence, AI, Robotics etc , with more research and innovations, Indian advancement will be better and smartly inter connected in future. The Hon’ble Minister offered to support Amity to promote projects to enable each and every one to come out of silos and experiment mutual larger collaborations.
Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Education Group called upon students to have mission in life Amity’s mission is to make India a Super power of knowledge by 2030 which is possible only with science, research and innovation and eventually India becomes a Global Superpower. Under the guidance of Hon’ble Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, Amity will promote research and innovation with mutual cooperation with all the institutions that have participated in this conference, Said Dr. Chauhan.
The two-day International Conference witnessed the participation of more than 45 International delegates and keynote speakers from countries such as USA, U.K, Russia, Oman, South Korea, Romania and Luxembourg amongst others. A total of 213 research papers were presented by researchers and scholars from across the globe. SPIN 2021 also featured more than 42 technical sessions during the two-day conference.
Honorary Professorship was also conferred upon Dr. Annalisa Bruno, Senior Scientist, Energy Research Institute, Nanyang Technical University, Singapore; Prof. Michael Milford, Director QUT Centre for Robotics (Acting), Greater Brisbane Area, Australia; Dr. Goutam Chattopadhyay, Senior Scientist, NASA-Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, California, United States; Dr. Justin P.Coon, Associate Professor, Director, Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford, UK; Dr. Michail Mathhhaious, Professor, Communication Engineering and Signal Processing ECIT Institute, Queen’s University Belfast, UK.
