HR-tech Startup GetWork raises pre-seed round from Rudraksh Ventures
Gurgaon: GetWork is on a mission to democratize job opportunities for GenZ College Students by training them on in-demand industrial skills. This Gurugram based HR Tech startup, has raised 30 lakhs investment from Rudraksh Ventures, founded by Angel Investor Munish Bhatia, ex-Aon Hewitt & DXC Technologies.
The funds from the pre-seed round will be used to enhance the GetWork Recruit candidate-matching AI engine. These AI algorithms will efficiently reduce the time it takes to source, screen and shortlist candidates, which at present takes up at least 60-80% of a recruiter’s time. The need for an intuitive platform that prioritizes speed and quality of hires is necessary.
Employers have widely reported the lack of employability skills of their early talent recruits. Founder, CEO of GetWork & MNNIT Alumnus, Rahul Veerwal says:“There is a need for a platform in the market to facilitate interaction between Colleges, Companies and Students. This academia-industry collaboration will impact the job market at a macro-level.” There are currently 67,000 Students on the platform actively searching for jobs and internships.
Currently, there are 110+ Colleges & Universities partnered with GetWork with the likes of NITs, IITs, IIMs and private establishments. The GetWork Campus module enables Colleges & Universities to manage their placements and become discoverable to employers. GetWork captures students’ skills, education and goals to provide colleges with rich insightful data to optimize their placement strategies.
“GetWork robust and strong tech platform which seamlessly brings together both corporate and colleges is differential from all the other players in the market. The ecosystem that Getwork is building will define entry level hiring in next 2 years.” says, Munish Bhatia, Founder, Rudraksh Ventures.
In April this year, GetWork was onboarded to India Accelerator’s Summer Startup Incubator Program. India Accelerator, a seed stage tech startup accelerator, based in Gurgaon, Haryana, is the only mentorship-driven program in India backed by the global startup network GAN. “There is a need for more tech based solutions like Getwork today in the HR Tech space. India Accelerator is helping Getwork establish itself not just as a hiring platform for corporates but as a market disruptor to bridge the gap between academia and corporates.” says Ashish Bhatia, Founder, India Accelerator.
GetWork CEO, Rahul Veerwal, is driven by his vision to allow every Generation Z job seeker to follow their dreams. He says, “Education is changing. Jobs are changing.
