AMU faculty delivers keynote address

Aligarh: “The effect of Covid-19 on the business landscape has been instantaneous, universal, and extend from the highest levels of companies, all the way down to the front line,” said Prof Nawab Ali Khan, Chairman, Department of Commerce, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

He was delivering the keynote address as the resource person of the plenary session of a two-day international e-conference on ‘Changing Landscapes in Business, Finance and Economy: A Global Perspective’ organised by Department of Commerce, Sidho Kanho Birsha University, Purulia, West Bengal.

“From business communications, to supply chains, and even marketing strategies-businesses have been forced to adapt to the environment of pandemic,” added Prof Nawab.

He explained how the coronavirus spread paralyzed the world economy, compelling businesses to re-evaluate their strategies and to focus on developing a lean structure to stir through the uncertain business environment.

“The global nature of the virus outbreak, with its high intensity and long duration, is changing the business landscape by way of shift in trade flows, investments and consumption patterns,” emphasised Prof Nawab.
