Bhubaneswar: Kautilya School of Public Policy, Hyderabad affiliated to Gitam Deemed to be University, popularly known as GITAM (www.gitam.edu), has opened the applications for academic year 2021. The institute is offering a 2-year residential Master’s in Public Policy (MPP) Program and short-term Management Development Programs in public policy for working professionals (applications for the latter will open in January 2021).

The MPP is a 103-credit program with a curriculum designed to expand knowledge, enhance skills and instil values during the 2-year duration. At the end of the first year, students must undertake a 3-month internship with an organization of their choice. The program culminates in a master’s thesis based on capstone project undertaken either independently or with an organization as a part of faculty-led project on a current policy led issue. The curriculum for both the programs has been aptly curated to give learners ample time and learning avenues for a variety of crucial skills such as identification of issues; exploration of viable frameworks to develop policies; creation of policies to convincingly address existing problems and comprehensive evaluation of existing policies.
