Gujarat Chief Minister at 3rd convocation of Marwadi University at Rajkot
Rajkot: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said here today that 70 universities functioning at present in the state provided the best place for deliberations, academics and new generation students pursuing higher studies here are capable of solving the problems of the state for a bright future.
Presiding over the 3rd convocation of the Marwadi University at its campus, he listed the Central and State government schemes in which the students could do research and suggest ways to implement them. He said the Indian education system rich in social welfare is the best in the world.
Congratulating 1,400 degree holders wishing them success in life, he exhorted them never to stop learning but continue to upgrade their knowledge, apps and take advantage of several opportunities the government provided for startups.
He said that education not only provided students with knowledge and skills but train them to accept new ideas. While recalling his student days he said in choked voice how he learnt moral values also. He wished more foreign students come here to see good governance and the state’s growth as industrial hub.
Mr. Rupani presented gold medals to merit holders besides degrees to others offline and online. He opened the university’s innovation and incubation centre. The university authorities presented him souvenir.
University President Ketan Marwadi welcomed the guests at the convocation and recalled his association with Mr. Rupani. Vicencellor Yogesh Kosta gave details of the university activities.
Prominent among those present included University Vice President Jitubhai Chandarana, Gujarat Municipal Finance Board Chairman Dhansukhbhai Bhanderi, BJP City President Kamlesh Mirani, Police Commissioner Manoj Agrawal, Collector Remya Mohan, Municipal Commissioner Udit Agrawal, parents and others.
