GDC Sumbal organises webinar on ‘stress Management’

Sumbal: A webinar titled “Stress Management” was organized by the Psychological Counseling Cell of Government Degree College, Sumbal on Saturday, under Manodarpan Initiative of Department of Higher Education, J&K.

The webinar was inaugurated by Director Colleges, Prof. M. Y. Peerzada.

On the occasion, Convener Psychological Counseling Cell, Prof. Mohamad Iqbal Rather introduced the webinar theme to the participants while Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Shafi Khan delivered a welcome address and gave a brief account of the activities being undertaken by the college for achieving the objectives of Manodarpan initiative.

In his inaugural address, Director colleges highlighted the importance of Stress Management Counseling for student community particularly in the present uncertain times and the role of Department of Higher Education.

On the occasion, Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Muzaffar Khan presented an innovative and highly informative lecture on the theme. He detailed different aspects of the subject besides listed means and methods to effectively manage and treat the stress, depression and anxiety

The speakers suggested various possible ways with the help of which we can overcome such sort of various malady.

The webinar was attended by sudents and faculty members of various institutions.

The entire webinar was moderated by Dr. Fahim-ul Hassan. While Prof. Riyaz Ahmad Kuchay presented vote of thanks.
