International conference on training translators

Lecturer at the Institute of Foreign Languages ​​of PetrSU N.A. Leushina took part in the international scientific conference “Training of translators: analysis of systems and approaches in the countries of the world” (December 5-6, 2020).
The organizer of the conference is the international research laboratory “Theoretical and Applied Problems of Translation Studies” of the Higher School of Translation of the N.N. ON. Dobrolyubova.

Scientists from Russia, Belarus, France, China, Australia, Afghanistan took part in the conference. University professors and practicing translators discussed topical problems of structure, content, methods of training translators, the experience of training translators and translation teachers in different countries. The conference was held remotely.

Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Leushina, teacher of the Department of Foreign Languages ​​of Natural and Technical Directions and Specialties of PetrSU, presented a report on the use of linguo-translation commentary in teaching translation from French into Russian. The report aroused great interest and many questions from the participants of the section “Translation Didactics: Methods and Techniques for Teaching Translation”.
