Participation in the first online Fulbright alumni salon
The online salon was held on the Zoom platform and was dedicated to the “Year 2020 in Remote” theme.
The salon was attended by associate professors of the Department of English Igor Krasnov (JFDP, Fulbright programs) and Nadezhda Shablikova (JFDP program).
Participants from different cities discussed changes in the organization of their work in the current year, noted the pros and cons of remote work, and shared tools and findings in teaching online. I.L. Krasnov spoke about the language camp, about the possibilities of maintaining and developing international contacts, taking into account the availability of only a remote communication mode. N.P. Shablikova shared her experience of interacting with students online.
The virtual round table with alumni showed that the conditions for organizing distance learning at universities are different, for example, for some universities the MOODLE and BlackBoard platforms have started to be used relatively recently, while for PetrSU this is an everyday reality.
