Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel to dedicate development works worth nearly Rs 600 crore to Bilaspur district

Raipur: During his visit to Bilaspur district on January 3 and 4, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel would give the gift of development works worth nearly Rs 600 crore to people of the district. Meanwhile, Chief Minister would inaugurate 142 works worth Rs 99.84 crore including newly-built central library, smart road, new circuit house, Atmanand English Medium Schools, and lay foundation of 225 works worth Rs 414.79 crore.
At first, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel would inaugurate the three-storey central library worth Rs 6 crore under Smart City Project. This is the first Digital Library of the state. This central library building is equipped with 365 sq metre of four-wheeler parking area in the stilt floor, and 365 sq metre of two-wheeler parking area on both sides of the building. At the ground floor, there is an exhibition hall and a conference hall, along with an incubation centre, where youth will be able to give a new dimension to their start-up. Central Library has been decorated with attractive landscaping and lighting from all sides.
Later, Mr. Baghel would inaugurate 142 works worth Rs 99.84 crore and do bhumipujan of 225 works worth Rs 414.79 crore at the general assembly to be held on Lal Bahadur Shastri School Ground. In this way, total 367 works worth Rs 514.63 crore would be dedicated to public in this programme. Chief Minister would do bhumipujan of 38 works of PWD worth Rs 178.38 crore, seven works of PMGSY worth Rs 174.38 crore, 50 works of RES worth rs 5.56 crore. Likewise, works to be inaugurated on the occasion includes 4 works of PWD worth Rs 9.39 lakh, 4 works of PHE worth Rs 2.02 crore, one work of MMGSY worth Rs 1.23 crore, one work of Water Resource Department worth Rs 6.12 crore, two works of PWD Bridge Construction Department worth Rs 51.41 crore, 5 works worth Rs 7.15 crore under Municipal Corporation Bilaspur, and 6 works worth Rs 15.55 crore under Smart City Bilsapur.

Chief Minister to inspect English Medium School Taarbaahar
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel would be inspecting Swami Atmanand English Medium School Taarbahar on January 3rd. This school has been well-equipped at par with English Medium School. Classes from 1 to 12th will be conducted here and 560 students would be given admission, Students will be imparted education via smart classes.
Inauguration of New Circuit House
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel will also inaugurate the new circuit house built near the old circuit house at the cost of Rs 6 crore 59 lakh. The plinth area of this building is 2050 sqm. The building has 7 deluxe rooms with 18 other rooms. In addition, a meeting hall with seating capacity of 150 persons has also been built.

Inauguration of Smart Road
Under Smart City Scheme, the first smart road of the city has been constructed at the cost of Rs 8 crore and it has been named after the pride of Bilaspur Padma Shri late Pandit Shyam Lal Chaturvedi.

The statue of Padmashri late Pandit Shyam Lal Chaturvedi will be unveiled at Rajendra Nagar Chowk near the smart road, at hands of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel.
Bhoomipujan for construction of barrage at Shivghat and Pachrighat at Arpa river
For revival of Arpa river and to maintain water level in the river round the year, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel will lay the foundation of barrages to be built at Shivghat at the cost of Rs 49.13 crore and at Pachrighat at the cost of Rs 48.98 crore.
