DDC Kulgam flags-off progressive sheep breeders for exposure tour

Kulgam: To acquaint sheep breeders with latest technological interventions in sheep husbandry sector, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat today flagged-off a group of sheep breeders of the district for an exposure tour to SKUAST-K.

These breeders have been flagged-off for a day-long visit organized by the Sheep husbandry department Kulgam under the ATMA scheme.

The main objective of the programme is to apprise these progressive sheep breeders about latest technological interventions in the sheep husbandry sector to make it a more profitable and progressive sector.

At the outset, the DDC interacted with these sheep breeders and urged them to get themselves acquainted with the latest scientific technologies through such exposure-cum-interactive programmes.

District sheep husbandry officer, Dr Rafeeq Ahmad and other officers and officials of the sheep husbandry office were present on the occasion.
