Covid-19 Vaccination arrangements reviewed at Baramulla

Baramulla: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr.G.N.Itoo today convened a meeting of the officers of Health Department to review Covid-19 Vaccination programme preparedness in the district.

During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held on various aspects of the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC highlighted the achievements made to combat the pandemic in the district. He also emphasized the importance of the vaccine made for the purpose.

The DC said that the trial vaccination programme will be started on 8th of this month during which 3,333 beneficiaries nominated by the health department both from the government as well as from non- government health institutions will be covered in the first phase.

He also informed that among these beneficiaries, 300 shall be vaccinated tomorrow in dry run adding that 13 places have been designated for the purpose.

Meanwhile, the DC appealed to the people to cooperate with the district administration in this respect.

He also asked the people who have any kind of confusion about the vaccine, to contact experts or the district administration.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Medical Officer Baramulla, Nodal officer, District Health Officer, besides all the Block Medical Officers and other concerned.
