Panel discussion on ‘Human Rights and Individual Liberty’

Aligarh: An online panel discussion on ‘Human Rights and Individual Liberty’ throwing light on the determination of liberties, the assertion of rights, obligations of states to safeguard human rights, the role of economy and religious freedom will be organised by the Legal Aid Clinic, Department of Law, Malappuram Centre, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) on January 25.

Guests, Dr Barun Mitra (Founder Director, Liberty Institute, New Delhi) and Dr Nigel Ashfordi (Senior Programme Officer, Institute for Humane Studies, George Mason University, Washington, USA) will deliver the main speeches followed by Ghalib Nashter (Coordinator, Department of Law) presiding over the lectures.

Dr Faisal K P (Director, Malappuram Centre) will deliver the inaugural address and Shahnawaz Ahmed (Assistant Professor) will give the welcome speech. Dr Azmat Ali (Assistant Professor) is scheduled to extend the vote of thanks.
