DDC Ramban reviews preparedness for National Voters’ Day activities

Ramban: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ramban, Mussarat Islam, who is also District Election Officer (DEO), today chaired a meeting of officers to review the preparedness for the National Voters’ Day activities, observed to mark the foundation day of Election Commission of India.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal; Additional Superintendent of Police, Rajni Sharma; Deputy District Election Officer, Lal Chand; Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, Principal, Government Higher Secondary School, Ramban and various other officers of line departments attended the meeting.

The meeting was informed that the District Administration is going to organize a grand function to observe “National Voters’ Day” on January 25, to mark the foundation day of Election Commission of India (ECI).

The DDC directed all the concerned officers and other stakeholders to ensure timely arrangements pertaining to their respective departments.

It was decided in the meeting that district level function would be organized at Government Modern Higher Secondary School, Ramban, while similar events would be held at tehsil levels across the district.

Tehsildars were directed to organize the functions with the involvement of officials of all departments and representatives of PRIs and MCs as per guidelines.
