Uttar Pradesh Day Celebrated at Amity University
Noida: Three-day long celebrations were held at Amity to commemorate Uttar Pradesh Day, showcasing self-reliant UP, from January 24-January 26, 2021. Various activities dedicated to those who had made the people of UP proud with their fighting spirit & unique thought process were highlighted through a series of events. These activities were organized by various departments across Amity University campuses in the state.
Dr. Balwinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University greeted all the students, teachers, and staff on Uttar Pradesh Day.
Amity Institute of Public Policy organized a documentary screening session on Atma Nirbhar UP: Mahila – Yuva Kisan Sabka Vikas Sabka Samman which provided a wonderful platform to share ideas, opinions, thoughts on the scheme. The screening helped students know about how these reforms are steps towards the One Nation One Market objective to help India become the food factory of the world which aided in achieving the goal of a self-sustainable rural economy.
Students of B.El.Ed 8 and B.El.Ed 4 ofAmity Institute of Behavioural and Allied Sciences organized another program to commemorate the day. Theprospective teachers enthusiastically participated in the event and expressed their views through E-Poster presentations, quotations, artworks, speeches, presentation about Uttar Pradesh.
Amity Business School in celebrating the self-reliant Uttar Pradesh on 71st Uttar Pradesh Diwas organized an Essay Writing Competition and a Poster Making Competition. The competitions were conducted so that students can get a deep insight about the future potential of the state and how big industries are considering Uttar Pradesh as their industrial base and what potential it has in the growth of the country.
Amity Biotechnology Club established under the aegis of Amity Institute of Biotechnology felicitated contributors of articles and its student editorial members with certificate of appreciation to mark the conclusion of Uttar Pradesh Day. Amity Institute of Space Science and Technology also organized a virtual event where participating students were briefed about the growth of the state over the years, its history, and the development of women in the state.
Amity Institute of Information Technology, Lucknow took the celebrations forward by organizing an individual singing competition “Swarnim Bharat: UP Yuva Shakti” where all selected participants had to sing a patriotic song of their choice. A session on ‘Role of Youth in Self-Reliant India’ was organized by Amity Law School, Lucknow, wherein Prof. N. Lakshmi Iyer, Head, Hindi Department, Central University of Rajasthan, gave lecture to the students.
Amity Institute of Physiotherapy celebrated the day as part of the AIPT Human values club wherein webinars were organized on ‘Evolving role of Physiotherapy in maternal health – Developing face of Uttar Pradesh’ and ‘Changing trends in Physiotherapy: Changing face of Uttar Pradesh’. The sessions saw participation of many students.
Amity School of Insurance, Banking & Actuarial Science also celebrated Uttar Pradesh Diwas wherein a quiz was conducted to make students aware about the culture and heritage of the state of UP and to make them understand the current practices and history of the state.
Students showcased enthused participation in the various events and activities organized to celebrate this special day.
