Meeting of the Council of the Association “National Arctic Scientific and Educational Consortium”

The meeting of the Council of the Association “National Arctic Scientific and Educational Consortium” (“NANOK”) was chaired by E. V. Kudryashova, Rector of the Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University (NArFU) via videoconference.

The participants of the meeting discussed the results of the work of the Association “National Arctic Scientific and Educational Consortium” in 2020, the IV All-Russian competition of student scientific papers on Arctic topics, the results of the international project “Raising awareness of climate change issues among the Russian part of the Barents Region” (together with WWF Russia and Germany). We considered questions about the scientific and educational center “Russian Arctic: new materials, technologies and research methods”, the creation of a booklet of the Association “NANOK” and many other questions.

The Association was established in 2016 with the support of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science. The NANOK includes 38 leading universities, scientific organizations, NGOs associated with activities in the Arctic region. One of the largest projects of NANOK in the field of expert and analytical support is a series of monitoring sessions on personnel training for the Russian Arctic. For the first time, a register of educational organizations was created that implement educational programs in the Arctic. The analysis of the implementation of programs in a network form is carried out.
