IPPI arrangements finalized at Anantnag
Anantnag: The DDC Anantnag, Anshul Garg today chaired a meeting of officers from the Health Department to give final shape to the arrangements for successful implementation of Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) for the district scheduled on 31-01-2021.
The CMO informed the meeting that all the necessary arrangements for effective anti-polio vaccination drive have been put in place in the district. It was given out in the meeting that 146152 children in the age group of 0-5 years will be administered vaccines at 331 centres to immunize them against the disease during the programme.
A total of 2730 workers have been deployed for the vaccination programme including 130 supervisors, 898 health workers, 872 ASHA Workers, 662 Anganwari workers, 53 workers from the Education Department, 15 volunteers and 100 students from AMT Nursing School. At each centre, 02 AWWs will be deputed and the ICDS department was directed to ensure the same.
Among others the meeting was attended by Chief Medical Officer and other officials of Health, Education, ICDS and other concerned officers.
