Fit India Campaign; DDC Doda declares Inter Departmental Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament Open
Doda: District Administration Doda under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode, and in collaboration with Sports department, has been organising series of activities to promote Fit India Campaign of Government of India in the district.
In this regard, the District Administration in collaboration with District Health Society and Sports department organised a two day inter-department tennis cricket ball tournament here at Sports Stadium Doda. The tournament was formally declared open by the District Development Commissioner Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC highlighted the objectives of Fit India Campaign and said the two day tennis cricket ball tournament has been organised to promote healthy life style among the officials.
Meanwhile, the DDC directed the Revenue and JKPCC authorities to dismantle the unwanted structure adjoining to the sports stadium, and carry out proper demarcation of the land adjoining to the stadium within two days positively.
Among others present at the inaugural ceremony were Dy Commandant IRP 5th BN, P N Tikoo, Chief Medical Officer, Dr Yaqoob Mir, DYSSO, Jaffar Haider Sheikh, Dy SP DAR Shoket Hussain and other officials of Sports and information department.
