DDC Kupwara reviews Jal Shakti works
Kupwara: The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Imam Din today convened a meeting of concerned engineers to review the status of various on-going Jal Shakti works across the district.
The DDC stressed upon the concerned engineers to speed up the pace of progress of the on-going works to ensure their timely completion and said that he will conduct joint inspection of the works at ground.
The meeting was informed that 17 works of I&FC under the Languishing Projects scheme have been approved at a cost of Rs.6631 lakh and expenditure of Rs.956 lakh have been incurred on these works so far. Out of these 17 works, 04 stands completed, 09 are nearing completion and work is in progress on the rest of the four works.
The meeting was also informed that 62 works of PHE Jal Shakti under District Sector are at different levels of execution which have incurred a cost of Rs.1291.32 lakh so far
Earlier, the DDC was apprised about the status of various ongoing works of Jal Shakti across the district.
