Aam Sabha for women SHGs organized at Sangaldan with focus on social security schemes
Jammu: An Aam Sabha of women Self Help Group was today organised here at Block Sangaldan to educate the participants about the social security schemes.
The Sabha was attended by the office bearers of all three tier community based organizations and associated community members viz SHGs, village level organizations and cluster level federation in presence of Block Mission Management Unit NRLM, Gool.
The prime objective of Aam Sabha is to generate awareness among the participants on social security schemes which include Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY) and the benefits of financial inclusion for the establishment of their Livelihoods.
A detailed orientation was also provided on alternate financing by Block Programme Manager in terms of availing the benefit of Differential Rate of Interest (DRI) and Mudra schemes.
As per BMMU Gool, till date 638 SHG members have renewed their PMSBY accounts and also new enrollment of 113 accounts under the same scheme have been registered.
Further, 382 accounts have been renewed under PMJJBY with new enrollment of 131 under the same scheme.
