University of Mannheim: University of Mannheim receives funding for the introduction of the advanced training program “Cultural Innopreneurship”

As part of the EU initiative “European University”, a new certificate program for students and professionals, especially from the cultural sector, will be created at the University of Mannheim by 2023. The program is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with 750,000 euros over three years.

On November 1, 2020, the University of Mannheim joined forces with six other universities from just as many different countries in the “European University” ENGAGE.EU in order to teach, research and involve the wider public in their work in an innovative way. To implement these goals, the University of Mannheim is now receiving additional funding from the DAAD as part of the national program accompanying the EU initiative “European Universities”.

Among other things, the establishment of the English-language certificate program “Cultural Innopreneurship” at the University of Mannheim is being funded . The certificate program is aimed at students and employees of the University of Mannheim and the ENGAGE.EU partner universities as well as external people who work, for example, in cultural establishments such as museums. The certificate program therefore also sees itself as a further education and training program. It consists of various microcredentials grouped into modules that can be taken individually or combined to form a Diploma of Advanced Studies . Enrollments for the certificate program “Cultural Innopreneurship” should be done by autumnWinter semester 2023 will be possible.

The DAAD also supports the expansion of the digital student administration. The aim of this sub-project is to set up an ENGAGE.EU campus and individual so-called learners accounts in order to ensure the creditability and comparability of student achievements with increasing international mobility.
