DC Kathua reviews land acquisition for Delhi- Katra Expressway
Kathua: District Development Commissioner, Om Prakash today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of land acquisition and related works of Kathua strech of Delhi-Katra expressway.
Pertinently, the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra expressway will connect Delhi with Amritsar in Punjab and Katra in Jammu and Kashmir including a stretch of 45 km passing through Kathua district. The 634 km Greenfield expressway is one of a major project taken up under Bharatmala Pariyojna by Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
The DDC took a detailed appraisal of various aspects. He was informed against 50 villages coming in the alignment, Joint measurement and Survey of 32 villages is on in conformity with the provisions of N.H Act, 1956.
It was further informed that revenue teams are taking local stakeholders on board before moving ahead with land acquisition process.
The DDC impressed upon the revenue teams to speed up the pace of work and resolve bottlenecks, if any, so that work is completed within the specific time period. He called upon revenue authorities to ensure no sale or purchase of land shall effect on those khasra numbers already notified in Gazzette Notification. He also directed to work in coordination and cohesion and stressed to mobilize additional men and machinery for achieving desired results.
Project Director NHAI, Ajay Kumar Razak; Dy Project Manager, Ish Gupta; Manager Feedback Infra, Sarang Pramodh Kamey; Tehsildar Nagri, Tehsildar Kathua, Tehsildar Hiranagar, Tehsildar Marheen and other concerned were also present.
