Within the framework of the “Days of Science”

On February 12, the Day of the Medical Institute of PetrSU took place at the Petrozavodsk Presidential Cadet School within the framework of the Days of Science of the PPKU.
Head of the Department of Human and Animal Physiology, Pathophysiology, Histology A.Yu. Meigal and professor of the department L.I. Gerasimova-Meigal delivered lectures to the 8th grade cadets on the topic “Signals from our body”, which highlighted modern concepts of electrophysiological research methods.

The cadets learned about the physical fundamentals of electromyography, motor units, electrocardiography and its application to assess the state of the body.

It is not the first time that professors-physiologists speak at the PPCU.
