Kunal Sood, Founder of #WeThePlanet, Speaks at 6th International Day of Women and Girls in Science Assembly

New Delhi: Kunal Sood, an impact entrepreneur and founder of #WeThePlanet, X Fellows, and NOVUS, was at the 6th International Day of Women and Girls in Science Assembly organized by the United Nations. #WeThePlanet, co-sponsor and producer of the event, is on a mission to make the impossible possible by uniting the youth and the elders, the left and the right and the abled and disabled to positively impact a billion lives over the next decade.

Kunal along with the Royal Academy of Science International Trust (RASIT) celebrated the event with the theme, “Women Scientists at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19”. It established a statement on the value of social dialects and cultural paradigms in the field of Science, Innovation and Technology. The virtual event at the United Nations Headquarters in New York commemorated the leadership role of women in the field of science, particularly in our fight against COVID-19.

“We must acknowledge the efforts of the girls and the women in science who spend their lives raising awareness and setting standards even amidst a global pandemic. Their courage is remarkable and through this platform, we seek celebrate their success throughout the development of the health emergency. Their noteworthy contributions will help the world in responding to the future pandemics”, adds Kunal Sood.

The United Nations General Assembly observed February 11 as the International Day of Women and Girls in Science in 2015 to celebrate the contribution of the female fraternity to science and technology, by passing a resolution called, A/RES/70/212.
