DC Ramban interacts with local entrepreneurs

Ramban: To promote industrial activities in the district, Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today interacted with entrepreneurs to discuss the issues pertaining to industries sector.

General Manager DIC, Vishwajeet and other sectoral officers from the allied departments were also present on the occasion.

The DC urged the entrepreneurs to focus on manufacturing activities as well as those having a strong raw material base, especially in the Horticulture and /Agriculture sector. This, he said, will help to establish an industrial hub in the district. besides providing job opportunities to youth.

The DC directed GM, DIC to organize an interactive session with youth who are inclined to venture into the manufacturing sector.

Pertinently, five potential local products were selected in a recently held District level Export Committee meeting, which have penetrated national and overseas markets. These include honey, Sundried Anardhana, Dry rind, Rajma and olive root stock.
