New Delhi: Simplilearn, a global provider of online skilling programs, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for a Ministry of Education initiative – National Educational Alliance for Technology (NEAT 2.0) to collaborate in upskilling higher education students from Indian engineering and technical institutes. This is a first of its kind initiative by Simplilearn, extending its support to the student community at large, and millions of students are expected to benefit through this association. As part of the MoU, Simplilearn will offer six programs in Data Science, DevOps Engineering, Business Analysis, Big Data Engineering, Big Data Hadoop and Spark Development and AWS Big Data Certification Training on the NEAT 2.0 platform.
Through this collaboration, NEAT will be using key e-learning content from Simplilearn’s programs/ live learning platform to provide the students with a quality learning experience in digital skills and technologies. Aligned to the government’s mission to increase technology adoption and virtual learning in higher education, the collaboration aims to create a future-ready workforce by leveraging the power of technology.
Speaking on the collaboration, Krishna Kumar, Founder and CEO Simplilearn, said, “One of the main concerns of organizations over the years is that they don’t get a ready-to-work, skilled workforce at the entry level. We are delighted to collaborate with AICTE and through this association, are committed to help increase the adoption of virtual learning by students, and bridge the gap that exists between industry and academia by helping students overcome skilling challenges. The six programs have been designed carefully to help students understand the concepts while they are studying. The students will get access to a bootcamp-style learning model where learners have access to video-based content, live instructor-led classes, labs for practice and hands-on projects. Learners will have access to comprehensive programs created by top industry experts, which will enhance their skill sets and help advance their careers.”
Simplilearn signed the MoU on 16th February 2021 with Shri. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Hon’ble Minister of Education, Government of India, at New Delhi in the presence of Professor Anil D Sahasrabudhe, Chairman of AICTE, Professor MP Poonia, Vice Chairman of AICTE, Professor Rajive Kumar, Member Secretary, AICTE and Shri Buddha Chandrasekhar, CCO, NEAT, AICTE, among others.

The job market is flooded with resumes, but only the ones with the right skills are getting into the companies of their choice. As the skill development ecosystem is evolving to a hybrid model, we are happy to partner with Simplilearn to provide students with a rich repository of high-quality, self-paced learning content for their professional development.”
