Training on NADCP-INAPH imparted to officers of Sheep Husbandry Department at Jammu
Jammu: A training programme for successful implementation of National Animal Disease control Programme (NADCP) was organized today by the Livestock Development Board, Jammu, where the officers of Sheep Husbandry Department Jammu were apprised about the guidelines of this scheme and trained for its effective implementation.
The training programme is follows the vaccination of cattle and Buffaloes against Foot & Mouth Disease carried out in the first round of Foot & Mouth Disease (FMD) Control Programme, an important component of National Animal Disease control Programme (NADCP).
It has been decided by the Government to take up small ruminants under the control programme in second round starting from March, 2021. Entire Sheep and Goat Population of the division shall be vaccinated and tagged under this programme.
During the training programme the officers of Sheep Husbandry Department Jammu were apprised about the guidelines of this scheme and trained for its effective implementation.
Director, Sheep Husbandry Department Jammu, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar was the Guest of honour in the training programmme. He emphasized that the programme will give boost to the development of healthy Livestock and uplift the socio economic status of the breeders.
