Physical class work begins in Ramban schools
Ramban: After prolonged suspension of classes due to COVID-19 restrictions, the schools for higher and higher secondary classes reopened today here across district Ramban amid all preventative measures and SOPs.
Physical classes started after morning assembly and Faculty members delivered lecturers at well attended classrooms.
Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam also inspected some schools and took stock of preparedness made by the Education Department as well as school administrations to implement COVID-19 SOPs.
Chief Education Officer, Vinod Koul, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Mohammad Fareed Bhat and heads of various institutions were also present on the occasion.
While interacting with the students and teachers, the DC urged them to follow COVID -19 SoPs to stay safe. He assured additional masks and sanitizers for students.
The DC also advised students to plan their career and work on personality development. He assured the students that administration will provide necessary books within the school pertaining to different competitive examinations like NEET, JEE, Banking etc.
The DC directed the heads of institutions to provide students access to school IT labs to enable them to avail IT-enabled services, besides organizing personality development Classes for their overall development.
He advised the students to incorporate radio listening and reading newspapers in their daily routine, which will inculcate in them a habit of staying updated about current affairs, besides improving their language skills.
Meanwhile, the CEO apprised the DC about staff strength, enrollment and infrastructural status of schools. The DC advised CEO to submit the list of school buildings, which are under construction in the district.
