DC Kishtwar launches plantation drive at Dul-Hasti power House site

Kishtwar: To spread awareness about environmental protection and increasing greenery, NHPC Unit Kishtwar today organised a plantation drive here at the Dul Hasti power house site.

The drive was launched by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Dr Harmeet Singh Mehta; General Manager, NHPC, Nirmal Singh; Divisional Forest Officer, Division Marwah Vijay Kumar; General Manager (Medical Services) Dr. Nisha Sharma; General Manager (Civil), Dulhasti Power Station R.N. Sharma; Senior Manager (HR) Ashok Kumar Dhanwal, along with Rahul Kumar Commandant, CISF, Dulhasti Power Station and Hukum Singh, Range Officer, Kishtwar Forest Division and other Senior officers and employees of power station also took part in the program and planted 125 pine saplings.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC appreciated the initiative of the NHPC Kishtwar and called on everyone to contribute more in environmental protection by planting more and more trees.
