Medically assessment of specially abled persons at Kishtwar continues on Day 2

Kishtwar: Medically assessment of specially-abled persons by Department of Social Welfare Kishtwar continued on day 2.

Headed by District Social Welfare Officer, Tariq Parveaz Qazi, the assessment camp, under Assistance to Disabled Persons (ADIP), was held in collaboration with Artificial Limbs Corporation of India (ALIMCO) at District Social Welfare Office here.

Over 170 disabled persons were examined by the team from ALIMCO in presence of Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Kishtwar Dewan Chand. A total 100 beneficiaries were identified by the team who will be provided with the prosthetic Aids free of cost.

Meanwhile, the participants were also made aware about the Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign and various other welfare schemes run by the Department for differently abled persons.

Scores of prominent persons of the area including Sarpanches, Panchs also marked their presence on the occasion.

The last phase of this medical assessment camp will be held at BDO office Drabshalla on 14-03-2021.
