IIM Amritsar concludes AArunya 5.0

Amritsar: IIM Amritsar successfully concluded the 2-Day Annual Management, Cultural, and Sports Fest, AArunya 5.0 on 14th March 2021. The fest conducted completely on virtual mode saw an extraveganza of zest and determination from the students of IIM Amritsar. What started with the students performing at the Attari Border, came to an end with performances by personalities like Abhishek Upmanyu, Spunk, Nakash Aziz, and Bass Jackers.
Day 1 started with the Ganesh Vandana that was performed by Ms. Aishwarya Rao and Ms. Yamini Deepshikha. The inaugural session was addressed by Prof. Amit Gupta, Acting Dean – IIM Amritsar. He congratulated the organizing team for putting in efforts towards this online fest. Appreciating the determination shown by the students in shaping this fest despite the pandemic, Prof. Amit declared AArunya 5.0 officially open. Mr. Pallab Das won hearts yet again by his rendition of Aayat from Bajirao Mastani. The day ended with Abhishek Upmanyu’s performance that left the students of IIM Amritsar with tears of laughter. This was followed by the performance by Spunk that made the audience dance to their tunes.
Day 2 saw the official closing ceremony addressed by Prof. Chetan Chitre, Students’ Affairs Chair – IIM Amritsar. He thanked the sponsors and congratulated the team for the success of AArunya 5.0. Ms. Uddipana Dihingia mesmerised the audience with her melodious voice. The star line up for the night included the famous singer Nakash Aziz and one of the best DJ duos the Bass Jackers. The students of IIM Amritsar enjoyed every bit of it.
Various clubs of IIM Amritsar hosted more than 20 events on D2C as a part of AArunya 5.0. All events received sumptuous participation from institutes across the country. The COVID situation put a lot of obstacles in the path of the organizers but they followed their “Anhad Naad” and made it happen.
