AMU Faculty becomes Member of the Advisory Committee of Ministry of AYUSH

Aligrh: Prof Shagufta Aleem (Faculty of Unani Medicine, Aligarh Muslim University) has been nominated as member, Advisory Committee of the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.

The high power advisory committee comprises learned scholars, Chancellors of Universities, Vice Chairman UGC, and several imminent academicians, Scientists etc  under the chairmanship of  the Secretary AYUSH, Shri Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha.

Expressing thanks to the Minister of AYUSH, the officials of the Ministry, and also to the Vice Chancellor, AMU, Prof Shagufta Aleem said India is the world leader of AYUSH system and main exporter of knowledge and ASU drugs.

She hoped that the Unani cause will be put up with loud pitch and power to strengthen and revive the glory of Unani Medicine under the aegis of the ministry of AYUSH.

Congratulating Prof Shagufta Aleem, Prof FS Sheerani, Dean, Faculty of Unani Medicine, AMU said it is a proud moment for Ajmal Khan Tibbia college, and the faculty of Unani Medicine and her expertise will help in better policy making for strengthening the AYUSH system of medicine.
