Ensemble of PetrSU “Karelian Souvenir” – laureate of the choreographic competition
On March 14, the National Theater of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted the All-Russian competition of choreographic art “Art-Compass. North-West”, in which the collective of folk dance of PetrSU “Karelian Souvenir” took part.
This is the first competition for the team after a long break, which was held in full-time format.
The expert council of the competition included:
Andrei Valentinovich Ivanov is a soloist of the Mariinsky Ballet, winner of the Golden Mask, the highest theater prize of Russia, teacher and assistant to the head of the department for professional selection of children at the Boris Eifman Academy of Dance.
Vladislav Eduardovich Ozeryansky – teacher-choreographer, ex-soloist of the Igor Moiseyev State Academy of Theater Arts, full member of the jury of international choreographic competitions, Honored Artist of Russia.
Yakov Olegovich Kopanev – teacher-choreographer, champion of Russia in contemporary choreography, finalist of the European Championship (Netherlands, 2018), finalist of the Dance Revolution TV project on Channel One.
Alexey Alexandrovich Bashchenko – teacher-ballet master, acting member of the International Dance Council CID UNESCO (Paris), head of the Art-Compass Dance Guide project.
The collective presented “Ancient Karelian dance” in the nomination “Folk-stylized dance”, where it won the title of laureate of the 1st degree!
The members of the group also attended a master class on folk dance by Vladislav Eduardovich Ozeryansky, gaining a lot of new information.
